Basal temp thermometer?

I just got my copper iud removed but I’m still trying to prevent pregnancy for right now. I just bought a basal temp thermometer but I am super lost. I get the concept of taking my temp every morning as soon as I’m awake etc. But how will this guide me to know my fertile, ovulating, and unfertile days? Help please! I’m so lost!

Take your temp each morning before you get out of bed and Keep track of your temp on a chart. (Glow has one) When your temp jumps up (usually by half a degree or more) you’ll know your in your fertile window.

I don’t know how it works, but maybe you should invest in a high end one that connects to your phone and tells you when you can and can’t  have sex

For example. Here is mine for this month. My dips are kind of unusual but that’s because I have issues with ovulating.
