Any of you ladies tried light auburn on black hair ?

I want to dye my own hair to something deffrent went and bought light Auburn looks good on the picture so I decided hmm I’ll get this I have picture taking tomorrow so I’m scared to dye it now it and it might turn orange lol.i have black hair,shoulder length.

Don’t damage your beautiful black hair for that color. It’s not worth it

if your doing it yourself you will probably have to bleach (possibly tone) then dye it with the auburn color dye.

Yeah, I had to have my hair professionally bleached and colored because no color would penetrate the black. On top of that, red is the most difficult color to keep up especially if you have to bleach. I had to have it recolored over and over. I used expensive as hell shampoo and barely washed it. Then when I tried to go back to my natural color, red kept showing through for years until it all grew out.

I don't know if it will turn orange, it might just have a red tint to it. I think it will only turn orange if you've bleached your hair.
