Okay, I’m 24 weeks pregnant. Yesterday my son was very active per usual. Last night however, he kicked A LOT! Without a doubt, at least 35 minuets straight.

Today I woke up with pain in my lower abdomen on both sides and then it went down towards my vagina and eased up. I described it to my sister in law and she said “Braxton Hicks contractions”. I’ve felt that pain at least 5 times today though.. I’m wondering if anyone else has had that pain? Is it just regular abdominal pain? Are they Braxton Hicks? I thought you weren’t supposed to get those hardly at all till you were closer to term.. should I be concerned?

I’m a first time mom so I have no idea what “normal is”. I can take the pain although it’s a little intense for a moment, it only last for some seconds before it’s gone. I have a appointment on Thursday so I’ll definitely be asking my doctor but I wanted some input if you have any. Also, if it gets any stronger or more frequent, I’ll definitely be going to the hospital.
