First apartment tips ?

Goodmorning ! 💕 lol I hope everyone haves a nice day .. but okay so I need some advice on getting my first apartment .. any advice lol how much should I save before getting one (budget for rent will be $800-825 , all utilities or only 1-2 utilities) how long do the process take from applying to getting your keys , is there any good saving methods (I suck at saving) lol I just need all the tips and advice possible ☺️

ok so from my many apartment living expierence. usually places want you to make 2 to 3x the amount of rent so if it's 800 a month they want you to make least 2400 a month you need to be bringing home. then most places want full months plus full month security deposits. so again if rent is 800, you'll need 1600 just to get the place. plus however much it will cost for you to get electricity. most places you have to pay your own electricty and will have allocated water, which means you pay water. they way the decide tgat is they see how many units are in the building you live in then decide the price by units. meaning if the water bill is 300 and there are 10 units in the building you live in. that's 300 ÷ 10, which means your water bill that month will be 30 bucks. it varies by no th depending on how much water is used between the 10 units. then don't forget about the application fee which usually varies from 20 to 100 buck, then the administration fee that can vary from 50 to 150. It's always more expensive first starrting out

Well usually you need to make 2-3x the cost of rent monthly in order to qualify and when you apply to live in an apartment, you usually need first month’s rent doubled + the security deposit + however much it takes to turn the utilities on
