BC Pressure

Has anyone’s S.O tried to pressure them into getting a particular type of both control. My boyfriend wants me to get the copper iud but I just find it a little to invasive for my taste I know it is hormone free and I do like that part of it but I also get really bad cramps and I’m a heavy bleeder which the copper iud would only make that worse so I suggested the implant because it is also very effective and it could help with my cramps and heavy bleeding. I don’t know if anyone has experienced this and knows how to handle it. When it comes to bc was it a decision you made together or did you ultimately make it for yourself.
