how do you deal with a MIL that doesn’t listen!

Ever since she came over for a visit on Thursday my life has been hell. She ignores what I (or my SO) ask our LO to do, and ignores our “rules” for our LO (like cleaning up toys when she’s done, or eating what we make for food and not giving her something else). She’s basically teaching our LO that it’s fine not to listen to us and that she can do whatever she wants. It’s so infuriating!! and my SO talks to her about it and asks her to respect us and our “rules” but then she just keeps on doing what she does with no cares. She’s pushy about doing things the way she thinks they should be done, even when me and my SO are both standing right there and asking our LO to do what we’d like her to do.

Me and my SO have been fighting nearly constantly since she showed up because I’m upset at everything that’s happened since she’s been here, and sometimes my SO just let’s it happen and/or agrees with her.

I could just scream!!! 🤬🤬😭
