So I’m 21 and have a hard time working. I have seizures and ptsd which make it super hard to hold down a job. I eventually got my service dog 3 years ago and finally decided I wanted to start working part time 2 years ago. I had a little seasonal job to get my feet wet then took another 4 month break from working and concentrated on school. Last year I decided I wanted to work again and searched for a job for 8 months. Had a ton of interviews but no one wanted to hire me (I assume because of my dog). In Louisiana a job can fire you or not hire you and not have to give you a reason sadly. So my mom put out the word at her job that I was looking for a good part time job that’s not too stressful. Well, her coworkers dad owns this business and he offered me to start working M-F 9-3 so I took it. This morning I asked my boss if I could start working 8-4 M-F and he agreed to let me give it a shot! This will be my first time ever working full time and I can tell my boyfriend is proud of me cause neither of us thought this would ever happen.
