Who takes iron ?

I got prescribed iron about a lil over a month ago and since I’ve been taking it ,it makes me have this horrible taste in my mouth and burp this horrible taste and it is all around bad and I can’t seem what will help . Also it makes me feel weird when I walk I don’t take anything else other then my prenatals so idk what’s going on anyone got an idea ?

I was taking iron supplements for being severely anemic (I get infusions now), it didn’t have any bad effects on me but I’d only take it at night when I would be going to sleep. I’d maybe try mentioning the weird feeling to your ob, I’d only get that feeling before I found out I was anemic, so maybe your iron is just still low and you might need your dosage upped which I had to have happen as well a couple times. Not sure what to do about the taste though.

I’ve been borderline anemic my whole pregnancy and about a month ago got put on iron pills. They make me feel like crap. Vomiting and extreme fatigue. I switched to taking them at night and it’s slightly helped.

why were you prescribe iron? does your prenatal have iron? I don't take it, i take gummies even though my doctor Insists I take iron I just don't. my last doctor's (was high risk so I saw specialists) never told me I needed to and that I took gummies. you may be taking too much if your prenatal have it.
