Should we stop printing phone books?

Should we keep printing phone books? 
I couldn’t even tell you the last time I used one, I personally see no benefit to them considering the modern technology we have. To me, they are a waste of paper and probably money to whoever is supplying them/making them. 
So what are your thoughts and why?

I think you should have to order one. Or be able to opt out. My grandparents don’t have cell phones or internet, and heavily rely on their phone book. But our generation doesn’t touch them. Ours immediately goes to the recycling. I even volunteer to take my neighbors just to be sure they make it to the recycling.

Your subject and then first sentence makes it confusing - I voted no meaning we shouldnt keep printing them. Or maybe just way less and you can request one. Mine dont even come in the house- they go right in the recycle bin outside

I don’t get them where I live anymore, but they do seem like a waste of resources. 
A small printing with an opt in makes sense to me.

I think it should be available by request for the elderly. 
My local one has shrunk down to basically nothing, but you gotta remember not everyone is internet savvy

I get one at least 2 times a year,  can't remember the last time one actually made it inside the house.  I wish we could opt out of them, or maybe you had to go down to the post office to pick one up if you needed it.

In some states in the US it is illegal not to give every household a phonebook. It's annoying for everyone. Thankfully where I live they at least put it into law that you can opt out of getting one if you want. I think it's just an issue of the laws and practices not keeping up with technology.

At work I see a lot of patients who still use phone books so for that reason I say no. Technology has advanced but some of our older men and women will not catch up 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think we should have some at govt buildings and libraries. Not delivered to houses. Unless they specifically order one

My Nan needs the phone book, as do many other people from older generations. My Nan with a cellphone or internet 🤦‍♀️
