Late period

My cycle is never more than 40 days and my period is really regular. I’m now 5 days late and on day 40 of my cycle. I’ve been very emotional, breaking out like crazy, extremely tired, a good amount of pretty thick white discharge and tmi but have had the runs really bad. Should I take a test or how long should I wait to take one? Any reasons besides stress and pregnancy that make you late? Really just looking for suggestions on if I should test and when you would do it l
