If I want to be ready to conceive in October when’s the best time to stop taking the pill? 
Like do they still work for a few weeks? Or once I stop I can fall pregnant?

Answer

Most pills are fully out of your system in about 3 months. Stop your pills now if you want to try to start conceiving in October. Keep in mind it can take less time or possibly longer than 3 months to conceive. It’s not an exact science.

At least three months before. You might be able to conceive with no problem, but don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away. It takes a while for that to get out of your system
