So, reading comments on another topic earlier it got me thinking on mom shaming.

One commenter mentioned "your damned if you do and your damned if your don't." Referring to how parents will be shamed no matter what parenting choices they make. (Ex breast feeding vs bottle feeding).

Another commenter commented how when people make "correct" mothers, it automatically is deemed mom shaming. (Ex. When someone corrects a mother on where car seat straps should be placed.)

So, what do you consider "mom shaming" and what do you consider "corrections?" Is there any overlap or middle ground.

How do you think is an appropriate way to handle mom shaming? Does that way change when the "shamer" is more concerned than condensing. And how do you handle family or close friends mom shaming? Is there some topics you aren't concerned with others opinions on?

When are corrections appropriate? In what situations and by whom.

When and if you correct a mother, how do you go about it? Is it easier knowing the person? And what do you do if you are accused of mom shaming?
