I've been admitted to the hospital because my water broke and I've been having mild contractions but I'm not effaced or dialated. I've been here since Saturday morning and its Monday evening. the doctors have not been trying to slow down the process, they are just monitoring me and the baby and giving me antibiotics. I'm staying in the hospital until Thursday and then they will induce me to prevent infection.

my question is....has anything similar happened to anyone else and they went into labor after 3 days or so without having to be induced?
