Prilosec?

Question

Has anyone taken prilosec or anything similar?  I take the max dose of tums possible every day.  I try to drink milk but I just can't, I had to eat a small candy bar to force myself to drink milk.  Never in my life have I had heart burn so bad.  I feel like someone has a lighter in my throat!  I really don't want to take meds while pregnant but I'm really thinking about asking for this at my appointment Friday!

I’m almost 20 weeks pregnant and I’ve taken Prilosec even before i was pregnant and continued throughout my pregnancy!

Have you tried spearmint gum? That was the ONLY thing that worked for me.

I take Pepcid and it really helps. I have taken prilosec prior to pregnancy. I don’t get instant (within the hour) relief from it. I’m not even sure if it’s for that because my doctor told me to take it daily. I’ve made the switch to Pepcid and take it as needed and im happy with it

zantac has worked for me, only have to takeit oncea day.  tums wouldn't even touch it for me.

I’ve taken Prilosec for years. It’s not an instant relief medication. Take it daily and it will keep your acid controlled! I can REALLY tell a difference in my acid reflux when I don’t take it.
