Peanuts during pregnancy?

Is it safe to eat peanuts while pregnant? So many mixed answers on the internet . I'm 8w2d and wanting peanuts bad !

My problem is I'm allergic to peanuts but craving them... So much! I'm not going to eat them because #death but I want them SO SO BAD! Lol

I've read that studies show that women who eat peanuts and peanutbutter often during pregnancy have less chance of the baby having a peanut allergy once born. I've been eating peanut butter and walnuts almost every day.

I know of someone who didn't eat anything she was told not to and her child was born allergic to everything she didn't eat.. I ate everything during my pregnancy and my son isn't allergic to anything and will also eat anything.

I think that there is a fear, and lack of -actual evidence or scientific study, that eating peanuts will cause a nut allergy in the baby. 
Personally, I am happy to eat peanuts, and other nuts, because they are so good for me and the baby. 
My suspicion about nut allergies is that they are related to gmo's or something more recent- some change in the recent process - otherwise I think nut allergies would have been just as common for longer that's just my opinion though.

They have not been found to be unsafe. They offer a lot of protein and fiber. Go of it! I craved salted peanuts with my son and he isn't allergic to them and pretty much lives off pp&j sandwiches.

I've actually heard from several sources eating peanuts or peanut products during pregnancy actually helps with preventing an allergy. So go for it!

I ate them with my first during the first few weeks. It was the only thing I could keep down.
