Question

1. I’ve noticed it is more uncomfortable on my belly when i lay on my left side in comparison to my right. Its better when my belly is supported but I’m not even super big yet (20 weeks). Any ideas why?!
2. When does Dr start doing cervical exams? I got 1 at 12 weeks only because i was spotting and Dr wanted to take a look to see where it was coming from. Just makes me nervous when i read these stories about women being dilated at 21 weeks...how would you ever know without a cervical exam?

get yourself a wedge pillow for your belly. it helps support it. even tho you’re not big yet, your belly weighs a lot more than it would if it was just normal fat/water weight.

For me, im more comfortable on my right side because my daughter puts more pressure on my left and she will kick like crazy if I lay on my left side. So probably just how your baby is positioned as well.
In a normal pregnancy they will not start doing those until the very end.

They would use a sonogram I dilated at 20 weeks went into preterm labor

1) Could just be where your baby is positioned. My kid is all up on my right side and laying on my right can sometimes be uncomfortable.
2) Cervical checks don’t start at my clinic until the very end, at least for the average woman.

They wont touch your cervix until near your due date.
