ovulating?

The left side of my body has been hurting really bad for the past 2 days, today my boyfriend and I noticed it was slightly swollen. It hurts to have anything touch that side of my body so he figured that maybe I pulled a muscle. Well tonight the pain got worse, so I'm in a sports bra and pajama bottoms with a heating paid on my left pelvic area. the pain has subsided but now I'm cramping a bit. could this be ovulation pains? I've never been able to tell when I'm ovulating, my body has just been super weird lately.
