Has anyone had this and had good ways to cope with it? To manage the pain?

My dad is 52 and lately he doesn’t work much, I see him struggling to get around the house because of the arthritis in his knees. he drinks a lot to cope, but he really needs to stop because about a year and a half ago he had to go to the hospital because he has cirrhosis of the liver.

I’m going to be having his first grandchild in 3 months and I want him to be around.

Anyone been through this or known someone who has found successful treatments for the pain. even home remedies. I’ve heard of CBD oil but he’s one of those guys that won’t keep trying something if it doesn’t work right away
