I am 38 weeks 1 day and tomorrow will go into hospital to be induced due to intrahepatic cholestasis. I’ll be honest I’m absolutely petrified. I was in hospital for 5 days last week due to elevated LFT’s and the doctors decided the safest thing would be to get babygirl out as soon as possible hence booking me in for induction.

I have literally tried everything I possibly can to get her out naturally since being discharged but alas nothing has worked.

The hospital advised me that induction can take up to 5 days, I believe they insert pessary’s over the course of a couple of days, start drip, break waters etc (I’m from the UK) and I was wondering if anybody has any experience, 1. With this condition and 2. With induction.

Any reassurance, advice, prayers or general words of encouragement will be gladly appreciated.
