Am I crazy??

Okay I feel crazy even for asking this but I have a two and a half month old son and think he might be teething already 😦. We haven’t slept for the last three nights but last night was the WORST. He was flailing his arms all night and rubbing his face and just seemed agitated. For the last week and a half he’s also been chewing on his fist nonstop, blowing bubbles and drooling but I assumed it was just because he discovered his hands. When I stick my finger in to feel he starts chewing my finger.  Is he teething? If he is what should I do to help him sleep at night? Before this he was at least having a one 4-6 hour stretch every night. Any advice please?

My pediatrician said it would be very rare to be teething a 2.5 months unless my husband or I teethed early. He could be going through a developmental leap. One happens around 2.5 months. Check out The Wonder Weeks. Essentially, all babies go through predictable developmental leaps at specified ages. During these leaps, they can become extra fussy, sleepless, etc. It should only last for a few days to a week.

Definitely possible. I have 2 nieces that had their first tooth by 3 months and I have an almost 3 month old that is showing all the same signs as your LO. We have to keep a bib on her almost 24/7 because of all the drool. They need to make teethers for smaller babies, all the ones we’ve found are too big for her mouth

Speak with your pediatrician but it is possible. When I was born the nurse told my mom I had teeth already coming down lol
