I believe a true Cancer wouldn’t work so well with another true Cancer. I’m a true Cancer through and through. My Sun, Moon and Rising sign is Cancer. I, personally would not do well with another person like me simply because I need someone who is more firm, someone I can cling to but also someone who can lead me to better things so that I am to enjoy life. 
I have heard that Taurus and Cancer go well, it I’ve only known one Taurus and I don’t think I am his type. lol. Although, our personalities did go extremely well as friends. 
I am currently with a Scorpio. He is everything a Scorpio is and sometimes that gets under my skin, but he opened me up and brought me out into a world that I’ve not ever seen before. 
I’ve only ever been in relationships with water signs, so I wouldn’t know if Cancer would be compatible with anyone else.🤔
