How much longer should I wait?

Alright so I am currently 2 days late and I have not tested yet because 1) I'm so afraid of it coming back negative and 2) My nipples are sore and it feels like my period is coming but nothing yet. Idk what I should do.....should I test?

I waited 14 days... exactly two weeks. But I didn’t want to get a false negative or spend a bunch of money on tests. Now that’s probably too long to wait so I’d say give it till sat morning! That’s just me though... because that negative cuts like a knife.
