Period?? ALREADY?

I’m 3 weeks PP. Super easy delivery, no tears, I healed quickly and had stopped bleeding a week and a half after having my son. Yesterday I started cramping, i’m moody as all get out and I am bleeding/spotting today, soaked through my yoga pants at one point now just spotting again, darker blood. Seems like a period to me but so soon?! Crazy! I’m breastfeeding and pumping also? 
I also had sex Friday, so a couple of days ago had no pain or anything! 
Possibility of pregnancy? 
(We’d love to have another baby! We want them close in age!)

Any bleeding before six weeks isn’t considered a period. If you’re suddenly bleeding more than you were you’re too active and you need to relax. You have a wound the size of a paper plate on your uterus. It needs time to heal. Sex and every other movement you do irritates the wound.

You’re more liable to get pregnant after having a baby and your period is more than likely off schedule. I had irregular periods after having my daughter. I bled for two full months after having her and then my period was off until I got pregnant again. I do suggest waiting to get pregnant again at least until you are three months postpartum. If you get pregnant right now you’re way more likely to have complications. I wanted to get pregnant again when my daughter was born, but I’m glad I waited until she was like 7-8 months old. I’m having a lot of complications and it’s scary for me and my husband. By no means am I telling you what to do! You can do what you please, but I just want to let you know about the risks you’re looking at. Some women don’t have issues at all, but quite a few do.

I’m nervous about you saying you had sex already and you’re only 3 weeks postpartum. I’ve always heard wait AT LEAST six weeks until you start having sex again. Maybe you irritated something.

I had my first period at 5 Weeks pp. got pregnant 8 Weeks pp :)
