How long did you wait after starting The Pill to let your SO finish inside you?

I've recently started taking birth control pills again (use to be on them for years but it was quite a while ago)... I know most BC pills says that you should use extra protection for the first 7 days, which is what mine says. Just curious how long most of you wait before letting your SO finish inside you? Only having it in my system for 7 days seems risky to me. I thought the standard was typically a month, from what I recall when I use to be on the pill back a few years ago.
