Baby led weaning or baby food?

I am torn on how which route to take when we introduce my baby to solids next month when she turns 6 months old. Any insight mamas? I’m a first time mom, so I’m very open to any and all advice!

You could puree regular foods if you want to avoid premade baby foods too.

I highly recommend a group on facebook called Baby Led Weaning for Beginners. You'll get a lot of safety information there with research to back it up. People often make recomendations like mixing the two or starting out with soft foods and that can be unsafe and unhelpful in the long run. We did BLW with my first and we still consider it the best parenting decision we've made so far and we are totally going to do it again with this baby.

You can do a mix of both. There's no rules- our baby did much better with BLW but will occasionally still take pureed foods.

Just do whatever works best for your family and lifestyle. 
We did like a combination of baby led weaning with some baby foods. My twins eat great now. They are almost 1 and they definitely eat a wide variety of foods 😁

We started BLW a week and a half ago. it's so exciting to share my meals with my son.  He loves food and his fine motor skills have improved drastically. I love it!

I’m doing baby feed starting next month he’ll be 4 months & then at 6 im gonna start making my own since I’m a stay at home mom

I’m going to do BLW because I can’t be fucked making purée and then having all of the dishes after.
