Lust or love?

How do you know the difference.

Lust is the idea of them. If you find yourself just wanting to spend time with them when you’re lonely or when you have nothing else to do, or if you mostly want physical contact when together rather than just hanging out, or if your feelings are superficial — and yes you can tell. Being in LOVE with someone/loving someone is an overwhelming GUT feeling. Its impossible to mistake true love from lust.  Its the kind of love where you can’t see your life without them, where you want to spend every waking moment of every day with them, where their well being comes before yours. Love and lust are 100% different but I do believe that you don’t fall in love with someone the moment you meet — I think that’s lust and then the love grows as you get to know them and their character and what makes them unique.

Lust is a hunger for their body. Love is a hunger for being in their near vicinity.

If you just like their appearance and like being physical with them but don’t actually care about them as a person or you do care but not in a romantic way then it’s lust.
