Bleeding on the pill?? Help

I started the pill a little over a week ago and for a few days after my period I had a brown mudish discharge which I assumed was just old blood. Anyways it stoped a few days ago but tonight my S/O and I were intimate and after when I went to the washroom I noticed light pink blood on the tissue, a few hours later and I went back to the washroom and bright red blood was in the bowl , like splashed. I’m very confused and was wondering if this is normal or if I should contact my doctor
