I have done the whole sleep training thing with my adopted first, but my daughter who was just born is my first newborn. (My older daughter is my niece who we adopted at 5 months) My newborn has never gone down in a bassinet, swing, rock and play, etc. She will fall asleep in her car seat but I refuse to start that habit because it is unsafe. I have been cosleeping with her, but want to phase it out because to do this I have had to kick my husband into our guest bedroom because he is too heavy of a sleeper and I'm afraid he would roll over on her. Tips for moving my 3 week old into her bassinet or swing (only for naps that I am present and awake for) I can get her to sleep for a little while in our hand me down vibrating seat but it tips her head down so I wouldn't let her sleep in it overnight.
