Delayed cord clamping- if you choose to do it did your baby have jaundice that needed treatment?

I’ve considered delayed cord clamping, but I’ve seen some research that it can increase the risk of baby having jaundice. My first had it really bad and we didn’t delay clamping, so maybe I shouldn’t consider doing it with this baby. Please share your experience!

We asked for delayed cord clamping and discovered that the hospital delayed cord clamping as a standard unless there was a complication that contraindicated it. Our baby had s touch of jaundice that went away on its own within 10 days - no medical intervention required.

My baby was delayed cord clamping and only had very light jaundice but that was due to no sun light the first few days while I was inside recovering I think. Delaying cord clamping is definitely the best option!

We had csection and they still delayed cord clamping as a standard practice. Baby had some jaundice but nothing bad enough that they made me supplement / didn’t need NICU time. I breastfed the whole week we were there and he left fine!

I heard it actually helps with that because all the blood is going right back into baby, this is actually something me and my husband have been seriously talking about. As long as I don’t have to have another c-section we plan on letting her stay attached until the cord is white and stops pulsing.

With my first i delayed clamping and she had a bit of jaundice but it went away with a few days being in the sun. My second we couldn’t due to the cord being around her neck and she didn’t have any jaundice but she was only 5lbs and had some issues the first night with her heart and body temperature which we stayed an extra day just to be on the safe side

We couldn’t delay the cutting andy daughter had jaundice pretty bad. Was in the NICU for 4 days
