Extra heart veins?

I had my 20 week scan yesterday was told everything was fine and no concerns, was reading my notes and it states “extra heart veins” has anybody heard of this ? It’s on paper but she sent us away with the impression there was no issues ?

It is rare but not a bad thing! I learned about it when I worked for a medical device company, and I always thought it was fascinating that some people had the extra veins!

Could be an extra vena cava, which is a major heart vein. I have this. My cardiologist said it's common in babies but often goes away. Mine didn't but they said it's no problem. And it's not the reason I see a cardiologist. If you're concerned, just ask your doctor and they should be able to give you more info.
