I was diagnosed with GD two weeks ago and I'm really concerned about the risks of what could happen to baby. I have been doing fairly well keeping my numbers in the target range and have changed my diet quite a bit and I do excersize every evening! BUT I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and what types of risks they were told could come along with this? I was only told by my OB about possibility of large birth weight, premature birth, baby having low blood sugar right after birth, and the possibility of the placenta dying early which is really, really scary. I just wonder how easily this can happen or what more can I be doing to make sure I don't miss any warning signs?
