Wedding after marriage....

My husband and I didn’t get to have a wedding. We eloped. I don’t regret that decision because it was the best for us at the time. However, I have always wanted a wedding....well mostly the reception and pictures. We will be coming up on our 5 year anniversary in 2019. Would it be odd/out of line to do a vow renewal but as a big thing?

In case you would like some background, we didn’t have a wedding because our families were either not talking to us, wouldn’t help with a wedding, or were trying to tell us how and what to do for our own wedding. Most of the drama was because we moved in together 2 months before the wedding date 🙄. Also, as a side note: since then we’ve had siblings get married and parents pay for the whole thing (which we didn’t ask for) even while they had been living together for at least a year. So the hypocrisy is real....anyway. We both would love to have something since we didn’t get a wedding and I’m just wondering what others think or if you have ideas. Also, we have 3 kids 🙈 so there’s the wedding party 😉
