What should I do?

So I've been thinking for a long time that I want to cut my hair. Like for a looong time, but my mom says I can't because she says I'm too young to be deciding what I want to do with my hair. (I'm 14 btw) I really want to do this but my parents disagree... what should I do? Any advice?

I understand you, my mom also once told me that im too young to be deciding things by my own, because I told her that I wanted to paint my room, but I like try to convince by giving her my points of view an my reasons about why I wanted to do that so she kinda try to understand me so she finally gave me permission so I suggest you to do that try to give her your points of view.

I think you should go for it, if cutting your hair is gonna make you feel good about yourself, absolutely get snipping, but if your mum is the type who would freak out if you cut it without her permission maybe you could sit down with her and explain that it’s something your really want to do, and it’s a good way for you to express who you want to be and how you want to look. If she’s still really uptight about it maybe you could compromise and go for a medium length and then take it from there, who knows maybe your mum will love it when she sees it!

Girl you'll be 18, a legal adult, in 4 years and she won't let you decide on a haircut. She's probably going to be the mom that expects you to make all of your own decisions at 18 without help too 🙄 good lord
