Movie theater with 20 month old?

I bring my kids to the movies often. I waited until my oldest was about 4 to go for the first time and with the two younger, we’ve been going since they’re months old and are super well behaved. That’s one of their favorite things to do.

we just went with our 20 month old for the 1st time yesterday. We saw Hotel Transylvannia 3. LO loved it. Sat and watched the entire movie which is amazing bc we dont let her watch much tv at home. I wouldnt try to take her to watch an "adult" movie though. As much as i want to watch Jurassic Park, we will be waiting for a day we can get a baby sitter.

I wouldn't...obviously, I haven't yet. But I feel like it's pretty loud and overwhelming for a kid so young. I mean, even I leave the theater with a headache from how loud it is. And that's a long time to be asked to sit quietly! But this is just my opinion. Every kid is different!

The day before school started, I took my 6 year old, 3 year old and 21 month old. She watched a few previews and slept through the rest.

No way hahaha hey to each there own but a baby has no reason to be in movies that young. When i was a nanny the youngest was 5yrs old i took a child.

We’ve taken our daughter twice . The first was a couple of months ago and we watched Show Dogs , she was pretty good and loved the movie . Last month we took her to see Incredibles 2 and it was a disaster lol mostly on our part because we woke up early that morning , did a photoshoot , played at the park and then went and I think she was just ready for a nap . I still plan to take her to see Hotel Transylvania 3 sometime soon . If you’re worried I’d start out going early morning or early afternoon earlier in the week like Mon-Wed . That’s what we did and there was only us and one other family in the theatre .

We haven’t since she was a baby baby. There’s a theater by me that does sensory screenings. So the theater lights aren’t super dimmed and the movie is not as loud. I plan on taking her to one of those before the summer is up.

We took our little one for his first birthday. We saw Thor, and he fell asleep 😂 we went to a parent and baby screening and I walked around the theatre with him until he fell asleep. The movie was great though :p

I took her last summer with her older sister. It wasn’t bad since I was nursing lol. I haven’t tried this summer yet but I plan too soon!
