possiblility to have 2 false positives??

My husband and I have been wanting kids for a while now. He had previously had a vasectomy with his first marriage and 4 children. October of 2017 he had a reversal and we have been trying since.. my cycle is 7 days late so I decided to test. is this possibly false? is it too soon to test? I think it's hard for me to believe this is real life????
