Meeting a guy from a dating app for the first time?

So I have been talking to this really sweet guy that I met on Tinder for a couple of months now. He wants to meet me but the problem is that I’m such a shy girl and I’m a really awkward person.  I don’t know what its like to meet someone from a dating app for the first time is it weird? How do you come up with things to talk about? Any stories to share? It would also be good to mention that I’m 18 and I’ve never been in a relationship.

I met my husband from an online dating app and he told me straight up when we decided to meet in person that he's really shy so may not talk much, but it has nothing bad to do with me. so I lead the conversation by asking him various things or just mentioning random tidbits. he found my tidbits very odd (like one was that hippos sweat red and their breastmilk is pink) but it definitely made a memorable first date. haha. so just let him know upfront how shy you are and he'll more than likely help guide you conversation wise.

I met my husband after talking on Facebook and I was sooooo scared that he was gonna be bored with me and I was going to be awkward and ruin everything and as corney as it sounds just be yourself! And if who you are is shy and quiet then by all means tell him that and be you. Everyone respects someone who is %100 genuine. Own who you are and he will be fine with it.
