Help?

Took her to the vet last week where she came back negative for mites. Her sister that my fiancés parents own has the same thing going on in both ears and was given medicine but I was not given anything for my dog. They told us that it was possibly food or allergies causing this before sending us out. It's gotten worse over the past few days and I'm really worried as sometimes she'll have a drop of blood that comes out when I wipe the outside of her ear. I accidentally made her yelp while cleaning yesterday and she was scratching a few minutes ago and scared me because she barked in pain. I'm not sure if it's sore from whatever is going on or raw from her scratching at it, but there is some sort of pain. Is there anything I can do to soothe her ear until I can get her in?

My dog gets this it’s a yeast infection. You can seriously give her an over the counter yeast pill that you would take. That’s what we do for my dog.

my dogs have always had ear problems, sometimes hot compresses can help. my aussiedoodle had really bad ears. they would get infected and inflamed. we changed his food. once that happened his ears started getting better. we started to put coconut oil in his food and haven't had issues since. so it is very possible an allergie. I would stop cleaning it until you get to the vet it may be irritating it more especially if it is a middle ear infection.

Do her ears smell funky? My dog’s ears looked like that when she had a yeast infection, but the smell is undeniable. Try a cotton ball with some witch hazel on it to soothe her ear and the inflamed skin.
