Can you send packages while your S/O is at bootcamp ?

I know after two weeks you're allowed to send letters. But what about little packages and photos?

My bf is in Bootcamp right now to become a marine and his family received a letter saying that recruits can only receive letters. no pics or packages are allowed

I send him mouthwash, toliet paper, pictures, shampoo, cough drops, foot powder, chapstick, and all kinds of stuff. He gets it all and keeps it all.

Deployments, packages(but watch for items not aloud out of country)

Yes,you can send packages but authorized items vary. When I was in BMT,our TI took the letters with pics after we opened them to make sure they weren't inappropriate. Sweets are also usually not allowed. Keep in mind that trainees will not be able to keep a lot of stuff in the small locker space.

My husband just completed basic. We were only allowed to send stationery stuff (stamps,envelopes, paper and such) and small wallet sized pictures. Check with you soldier first to be sure in a letter you send him. Mine would ask me for pictures to send. Some ds are different. Always best to check so he doesn't get smoked.

It depends! When my husband was in boot camp (USMC) he was ONLY supposed to get letters, but I would sneak pictures in! He LOVED that he was the only guy getting pictures of his girlfriend, everyone else was just reading letters lol.

My husband has been in the army and a friend of mine just joined the marines neither were/are allowed to have care packages. When my husband was in basic he was able to get pictures I sent as long as it fit in a standard size envelope. He was also allowed stamps to be sent to him
