We are in Japan and had no choice in housing so we live on base and I love it. In the states we lived off base and I preferred that. I think it really just depends on duty station to me.

Well I was a military spouse, and also a soldier myself. My husband and I always lived off post, because we wanted that separation between work and home.

I live on base and its great not worrying about bills. We have a two bedroom one and a half bath for just my husband and I.

I live off post and honestly I’d prefer to live on post. My husband decided that he didn’t want to live on post . But at the end of our lease in our apartments I’m gonna try to convince him to move on i just think it’s easier for us. I’m going to be a stay at home mom(pregnant with our first) and we would get a house close to wear he works so i mean I’m trying to convince him. Less gas and time to go back and forth and it’s convenient.
