I have just noticed that I am getting new marks on my back, a bit like birth mark type but I have never had them before! This is my second pregnancy and didn’t have these before! Any idea what it might be?

I heard you can get dark skin patches on your body from the hormone changes. Just like you can get skins tags and acne. But yes, I’d ask your doctor just to make sure.

I similar smaller ones on my abdomen.  my ob said they were normal as long as they arent painful or itchy to not worry and should go away once the baby is born.  I've noticed a few went away and some have gotten smaller over time.  if they arent causing any discomfort I would just ride it out and ask at your next appointment or just give the office a call, they can usually give pretty good info just off descriptions.

I’ve been told this is normal for certain ladies, especially those of Hispanic and African descent. I’m Hispanic and was told I could get something like this on my back, neck or even face. But I also agree with the other ladies, always a good idea to check with a doctor.
