What would you do?

Last night my boyfriend stayed out late so I was home with the baby. Which would've been okay but he left and didnt say anything to me, He didnt even let me know he was leaving. When he came home late I asked where he was and he said it didnt matter. whatever. I was in a bad mood then, he kept walking past me but he was rrally close and the second time he did it I kind of pushed past him, again I was upset, which doesnt excuse it, he turned around and pushed me pretty hard. He told me not to touch him so I just walked the other way, 10 minutes later I wanted to apologize so I went up to him (he was turned away from me) so I touched his arm to get his attention and he turned around and yelled at me not to touch him. Again later I went to apologize and barely touched him, he turned around ran up to me and kind of put his hand up and got nose to nose with me and yelled at me to stop touching him, I've never been scared of him but that time he really freaked me out, I thought he was going to hit me, he's a lot bigger too, 6'2, I'm 4'10. Ive never seen him like that, the way he walked towards me and yelled at me was scary. Later in bed I told him that he really freaked me out and he told me I should've stayed away from him, he yelled it and our 4 month old son was right there sleeping in his crib so I told him to stop yelling and he yelled again telling me to "leave him the fuck alone" I guess he was right, I should've just left him alone but I just wanted to apologize. Was it all my fault?

No. Not your fault. Even if you did irritate him, his response was absolutely uncalled for.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I think he was pretty clear he didn't want to be touched and wanted to be left alone. If it was the other way around and you were the one who wanted that space I'm sure you'd have all kinds of support here. Just because he's a man does not mean that his thoughts or feelings should not be respected. It also sounds like there's more to the story. Why would you just be trying to apologise so often if you see what you're doing to him? 
But it sounds like he has real issues and either he had a really tough day and is incapable of handling it maturely or he should seek counseling for anger problems. Regardless, people like that can be dangerous and should not be provoked.

girl,  you tried to apologize and he did all that.  no it's not your fault.  something is going on,  with him that he needs to figure out.  you almost got hit,  oh hell no.  my best advice and I know it might sound rude but you need to get out if that before he puts hands on you.  that sounds like its getting abusive.

Do you typically feel like you’re walking on eggshells, even just to tell him how you feel about him leaving without telling you? There’s nothing wrong with you wanting to know he was leaving or what he was doing. It shouldn’t be a big deal for him to tell you. And you shouldn’t feel like you have to hold in your feelings. This alone tells me he’s toxic. 
And his behavior towards you and pushing you like that is abusive. You just don’t treat someone you love like that even if you’ve had a bad day or whatever the reason. It’s not justifiable to make your partner afraid of you. 
Know that this is not a normal relationship, it’s not what you deserve. You didn’t need to apologize to him. I’ve been there and it would be smart to leave now.

Okay, you know he just turned everything around on you?  HE is the one that should be apologizing. Idk what you’re apologizing over but he came in LATE and told you “whatever” when you asked about it. What about that?  Where was he?  I wish my man would come in so late that I’ve already gone to bed and he tells me “whatever” when I ask where he’s been. 
Like realllly?....No honey, not today....
