no it's not harmful, I use to work at a sex shop...what youre thinking of is, if you use a vibrator that is very strong, or a bullet  your clit gets so use to the an cant organism any other way. an eventually you could as they say "blow" your clit out an never organism again...so by hand or oral, no you cant. but toys very powerful ones, yes you can...hope this helps
