Help! My baby isn't getting enough hind milk

Desiree

I had an appointment with the lactation specialist on Thursday and she believes I have a fast let down plus my LO has a shallow latch so he is not getting enough hind milk. As a consequence he has terrible stomach discomfort and struggles to pass gas. I'm at a loss- I feel like pumping is the way to go since its a balance of breast milk and I can't watch my baby cry anymore but the lactation specialist said the baby's digestive system will balance itself out soon (although she didn't tell me how soon) so I should continue to nurse my baby. But I need help from other moms! Is there a way to ensure my baby gets more hind milk? Any experience with this from you ladies? Or should I start pumping and back off of breastfeeding? I just want my baby to feel better.
