When do You say art washing baby clothes and stuff? (Please read)

Okay, so I’m only 17 weeks pregnant, but I am the type of person who likes things done early, so I can make sure it is done right and Incase something happens and little man comes early. 
I am already getting so many hand me downs from friends and family. I want to wash everything and get it all organized, but I feel like it’s too early. 
I have all of his stuff in boxes and bags waiting to be washed while we get his room together.

I’m 17 weeks and 2 days today. I feel like I’m nesting right now as well. I washed all the baby clothes i own so far and i will wash them again around a week or two before baby is born

Personally, I have been washing things as I've gotten them. Worse comes to worse you can throw in a load last minute 😀

It's probably fine to wash any time - but I wouldn't wash any new clothes beyond newborn size. My first son changed sizes at different times than we were expecting so a lot of the new clothes I had washed weren't in season anymore and then they couldn't be returned.

I’m moving at 21 weeks and will be washing everything around 25 weeks. That gives me a month to paint and set up the nursery then get started on the dresser/closet 😍 I’ll have a dehumidifier in the room so the clothes will stay fresh. So excited to get her things together!!

I’m washing my babies clothes around 30 weeks that way it’s fresh when he’s here and plus I have to wait until after my baby shower I’m sure he’s got more clothes to come.

If it’s hand me downs, you can wash now, if it’s things with tags that could be returned in case the baby doesn’t fit in it, I would wait until after they come. I washed everything that was 3 months and up at 34 weeks and had everything folded and put away. I washed 2 outfits that were gender neutral size 0-3 months to have on hand. My son was 8 pounds 3 ounces and was in 0-3 month cloths for like a week. He just wore the 3-6 month stuff early and it was a little baggy but he was fine. Most of the clothes I got were 3 months or larger for my first pregnancy.

I am sort of petrified of washing things because I have NO idea how big little man is going to be. I was 8 pounds and daddy was almost 11 😭
I think anything bigger than 3-6 months I will wash after the baby shower which won’t be until I’m 33 weeks.
