Need advice about ex bf

So I am a Christian and so is my ex boyfriend I broke up with him 4 months ago but he is having a hard time accepting the fact that I broke up with him. I am ready to move on( I’m talking to another guy) but I feel like my ex will get annoyed/angry at me, should I message him and ask if he is ok if I move on or don’t bother messaging him?
