Question about blood HCG test?

I got my BFP Friday evening so I’ll be calling my OB tomorrow morning to get a blood test to confirm. Do you have to fast or anything? Just wondering if I should skip breakfast!

if you do blood work drink plenty of water because I didn't have much to drink the day I went to the doctor to confirm pregnancy and they drew blood to see how far along I was and they had to keep poking me to find a vein.

Went in this last Friday because our little lentil was a wonderful surprise and got in to do the blood test and got a call within an hour later. No prepping or fasting necessary! It’s so wonderful to get those results back! It made it SO REAL! Congratulations 🎉 🤰
