2nd degree tear - stitches left a nub?

So, I had a second-degree tear during my vaginal delivery. My stitches have healed well and nothing hurts, but there is a big nub/flap of flesh along my perineum now from where they stitched things together. Is this normal? Did anyone else have this?

It will go away with time I think. Had it with first and now 2nd

I had to be cut, and the midwife told me she had to stitch me in that way, so I’m guessing it’s normal 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m asking at my 6 week check
