Hormones question

Hi guys, I know sore breast can happen later on when you find out that you are pregnant. But I’m confused, what about after ovulation? I read that if you have sore breasts mid cycle, that could mean you had just ovulated, I also ready that it also could mean that ovulation hasn’t happened because of estrogen... does anyone know?
