Water leaking???

I went to L&D; bc I thought I had a leak in my water. They did the test twice. Both times came back positive. Then they personally decided it wasn’t amniotic fluid even though the tests say it is. Sent me home. I’m still “leaking” it’s thinner than discharge and just soaks my underwear all the time. Not enough at once to soak my pants. Idk if I should go back in or not. I’m 38+1.

This happened to me with my last pregnancy. They told me I wasn’t leaking fluid and sent me home, when I was in labor and the dr came to break my waters there was nothing there! He said I was very lucky everything turned out fine. So please call or go in again and demand them to check your fluid levels

I know they have to check it twice because the strips do come back positive when it’s negative. I went at 24 weeks and got a positive on the strip. She ran out and looked under the microscope and saw blood not fluid. I would ask them to explain it to you, especially if you are not comfortable.

This doesn’t make sense at all that they would send you home. I think I’d be going back in and telling them that I will be staying. How are you feeling? Have contractions began?

I'd go to a diffrent hospital, because with my son I was leaking from 37 to 39 weeks and i had a dry birth, and my son was in distress from it. long story short i thank God every night his heart started back up. and i had no previous issues my whole pregnancy with him.
