So we live in a rather small 1 bedroom apartment that we love and plan on staying in until baby needs more space. I’m early, only 8wk. But I’ve been planning for this baby forever even though we weren’t TTC for long (and actually not even TTC really, left it up to god and chance).

I want to do a kind of Harry Potter themed nursery, like in the universe of Harry Potter, not specifically the plot of the books. So I’ve been calling it “magical forest Harry Potter nursery”

I’m planning on making a bunch of little creatures (like bowteuckles and, my favorite, nifflers) a DIY yarn puff snitch mobile, and some hand drawn house posters. I’ll also hand paint a stool to be a toadstool side table for breastfeeding supplies.

I’m also listing all the stuff we need. It so hard not to just take from savings and buy it now, but we have family that love giving gifts and this’ll be the first grand baby and great grand baby so we have to leave some for our family to buy or else we’ll get a bunch of junk that will just clog up our small apartment instead of getting what we need.
